The staging is absolutely stunning.
The investigation system and dual storyline are really well executed.
A crazy atmosphere as always.
A true survival-horror.
A high-quality soundtrack and soundtrack.
A very good lifespan (20 hours in a straight line).
A somewhat repetitive progression towards the end, where one can feel that it drags on a bit.
No physical release.

Writing without a single wrong note.
Smart and refreshing riddles
Never take the player by the hand.
Very satisfying lifespan

Alan?s Plot Board Has Unfulfilled Potential

Absolutely beautiful graphics all throughout this game
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.

Cutting-edge graphics and immersive sound ambiance.
Introduction of new gameplay elements, such as the Case Board and the Plot Board.
Optimization to take advantage of the resources of the PS5.
Synchronization issues with Brazilian Portuguese subtitles.

Three levels of difficulty (modifiable at any time)
Widely intuitive use
The "current objectives" available at any time are almost always very clear and useful.
Fighting much less often in general...
Super "mécanique de retranscription" et "mécanique de lumière" with Alan, which allow for modifying entire environments in real time.
Game figurines with sometimes very different mechanisms ("Detective and Author")
Many puzzles and opportunities for discovery in an open world (not mandatory).
Many role-playing game-like improvement options for both heroes.
Later, a more or less free order of chapters with Saga and Alan.
Mainly a very high quality texture.
Exceptional light and shadow effects without exception.
Continual flow between the world and the realm of thought and changes during the "rewriting".
Smooth performance throughout, even in quality mode (PS5).
Stunningly staged cinematics.
First-class English speakers, generally good German speakers.
Great soundtrack
Excellent sound effects
Certainly captivating from a narrative perspective, but quite dull from a gameplay perspective.
... but some poorly designed boss fights
In rare cases, too linear (important objects later on, not directly perceptible).
Some small bugs
Incorrect subtitles and English voiceovers in the German version (partially already corrected).
The synchronization of subtitles in the cinematics is not correct in the test version.
Some sound effects are too loud (like the reverb during thoughts).

The protagonists and supporting characters are of pure excellence.
This can be a real survival horror.
Technically, it is the new benchmark on PC.
Action gameplay is often relegated to the background.
Settings, enemies, weapons: there is a problem with variety.
The special dynamics between Saga and Alan could have been better utilized.

Ingenious and cleverly linked game elements.
Successful horror scenario with tons of genre references.
Good German synchronization
Laborious search through levels of pipes sometimes too dark.
Sometimes fights are not very dynamic.

Atmosphere
Combat
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.

A big gift for Remedy fans
A successful survival-horror turning point.
Always a crazy sound design
Beautiful to the point of tears on PC (see box)
A laborious hand-holding in the Saga countryside.
...But technically too ambitious for consoles.

A thrilling plot from beginning to end with a masterful staging.
Awkward moments and a horrifying atmosphere, just the way we like them.
The moments of investigation and writing in the well-thought-out mental palaces.
The fairly long phases in the mental palaces that can slightly disrupt the pace of the action.
the fairly easy and repeated use of screamers
The map that does not take into account the verticality of places and is therefore difficult to read.

Likable characters with fun quirks bolstered by earnest performances
Puzzle gameplay that plays with the environment in unique ways
Stunning environment design
Combat doesn?t often gel with other gameplay mechanics
Ending may leave some feeling left in the dark

Crafty use of investigation and location-altering mechanics
Spellbinding sequences, moments, and reveals that leave you in awe.
Collectibles with their own puzzles and functions make the task feel more meaningful
Stuttering, slowdowns, and textures that took a while to load.
Icons that remained on the map, leading to confusion and unnecessary backtracking.
Audio skipping issues.

+

+
Looks incredible
+
Rewards investigation
Sluggish pacing
-

A mastered soundtrack
