Run 'n gun gameplay feels good. Overload system is useful!
Fighting scenery for enemies is not fun, especially when I need to switch to 360 mode to do so.
3D visuals aren't very appealing.

Plenty of modes and a vast array of Easter eggs and bonuses to acquire
Graphically solid, with some great-looking setpieces and an appropriately cinematic musical score
Lag is chronic and fluctuates with the frame rate, and various glitches remain present
Handheld mode suffers from tiny sprites that make it difficult to follow the action
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.

The opening levels are brilliant
Punchy visual style
Local multiplayer is a blast
Dodging is ineffective
You can get lost

Two-player co-op for story and four-player co-op for arcade
360 degree aiming
Playlists of classic Konami game music
Flexible perk system that allows creative builds and options for newcomers
Garish, lifeless and ugly visuals that belong on a moile device and the Switch version has input delay
Prone to crashes, soulless soundtrack, and the hardest mode locked behind a grind
Intrusive and trite story with embarassing writing that is more like a dollar-store G.I. Joe than Contra
Over priced for what you get and a grind that wears the premise thin
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.
Many judicious borrowings from Contra 3
Weapon upgrades
Some cool bumps
Overall appropriate difficulty level
Cooperative mode for 4 players
Retro sound effects
The soundtrack lacks punch.
Disruptive interruptions in the story
3 points of contact instead of carefully crafted challenges.
optional diluent advantages
too colorful / too clean with few details
3D graphics without added value for the game
Slowdowns despite low graphic requirements
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.
Updates to systems make it feel modern
Weapons are fun with cool upgrades
Story is corny and cheesy like an 80's action flick
Story mode feels a little short
