A world as vast as it is diverse
An infinity of events and side missions that never get boring.
Soundtrack that gives chills

You have to wait for Part 3.

Addictive game
Excellent implementation of the DualSense
The main plot may seem diluted.
Too many menus and sub-menus

The artistic direction, incredible
Music, enough to make your hair stand on end
The handling, dynamic and poised at the same time
History, Nojima is a genius.
Character writing, the player becomes attached to them.
Side missions and mini-games, the magic of yesteryear is there.
The Fluidity mode, not at all pleasant to the eye
A touch of redundancy in the quests to be completed for Chadley (just nitpicking a bit)

varied and enjoyable arcade fights
Finally the second chapter!
Open world rich in opportunities, but inevitably repetitive in execution.

Dynamic and vibrant combat system, accompanied by an unbeatable catalog of mini-games.
Excellent graphic treatment
Unforgettable soundtrack that shines above the rest of the sections.
There are small bugs that, although they do not spoil the experience, can still slow it down.
The difficulty is not quite balanced.

The story of Final Fantasy 7 (Remake) is pursued significantly and extensively.
Captivating original soundtrack
Charming characters and NPCs
Tons of mini-games ranging from motorcycle and Chocobo races to combat challenges and polygonal-style strategy games.
The card game Blood of the Queen is particularly remarkable because of its tactical possibilities.
Many options for character development
Easy-to-learn combat system
The relationship with companions influences combat possibilities.
A strong factor of nostalgia
Chocobos
Character traits sometimes presented in a clichéd manner; in particular, the main characters are abnormally attractive or perfectly flawless.
Models of extras with very limited variations.
Traveling freely in the game world is only possible later on.
The conclusions of the characters in the course of the story are not always completely understandable.

Almost perfect combat system
Exceptional aesthetics and sound
Some technical imperfections

No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.

Intense and emotional story
Strong characters and evolution
Exciting and demanding combat system
Many mini-games
Much to discover
Good synchronization
Large volume
Powerful effects
Many types of monsters

No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.

Party chemistry shines
+
Meaningful side-content improvements
+
Excellent combat
+
Mini-games
Occasional convoluted story beats
-
Rare and minor texture oddities

Some successful passages that contribute to the overall lore of this universe
A real invitation to travel in a coherent and easily digestible open world.
A combat system that is more dynamic and richer than in the past.
The gameplay of each character is successful.
Duo attacks add a real bonus
Linking side quests to the characters in the group makes them (slightly) more interesting.
A perfect, rich, dynamic and inventive reorchestration
A significantly longer lifespan than Remake
The problematic display of textures and aliasing lighting
The Performance mode is blurry despite a good framerate.
Some quests and activities in the open world are not as successful as others.
Chadley and MAI, be quiet!
Vincent and Cid relegated to the background

History, characters, highlights? Nothing has aged.
Combat system of unprecedented depth
The phases of climbing in a staggering ridiculousness
Filling in the open areas

A stunning orchestration, we want the soundtrack on vinyl!
A very ambitious vision of the iconic locations from the original work.
A modern combat system, in the same vein as the first installment, and effective.
A very good French version
A truly reasonable lifespan, between 25 and 30 hours.
Some slow, forced and quite uninteresting passages break the pace of the adventure.
Always the same camera issues in combat

Combat system in perfect balance between tactics and action
The return of the world and original sequences exceeds all expectations.
A huge amount of secondary content
It looks like we are playing a chapter created by Squaresoft in the 90s.
Some elements may be repetitive.
No significant improvement in terms of graphics compared to the predecessor.

Thoughtfully expanded combat system
Spectacular boss battles
Friendly team of heroes
Outstanding soundtrack
Many cool mini-games
Huge scale
No resumption of the game progress is possible from the "remake"
Open world activities become a bit repetitive as you progress through the game.
Some fleeting passages lack excitement.

An open world that encourages exploration and adds experience and rewards.
The combat system has been improved to offer a fun and exciting experience.
The progression system encourages experimentation; there is no right way to play.
The mini-games are charming and Sangre de Reina is a very entertaining game.
The division into chapters allows you to enjoy it in your own way without limiting yourself.
The fights against the bosses are memorable
Visually it is impressive and the music is a delight.
Detailed map, with several areas to explore and regions that reflect their culture and relationship with Shinra.
Long journeys through corridors, stairs or stretches of land can be discouraging.
Some objects and parts of the scenery are of low quality and there is pop-in (in the pre-launch version)
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.

Lots of excellent mini-games and side missions
It looks and sounds sublime
The game feels bloated at times
Weightless objects, slow loading and other immersion-breaking niggles

Gameplay rhythm simply perfect
Spectacular combat system
Some playful elements are not always centered.
Technically unconvincing

A wonderful musical score that repeatedly iterates on the original soundtrack.
The Synergy Combat System hotly elevates combat.
Variety of distinct and colorful locations to explore.
Character models can look uncanny at times (even with a recent patch).
Underutilization of some characters.

+ amazing characters
+ world design is beautiful - Third act was confusing - unexciting enemies (Reviewed On PS5)

Compelling open world
Amazing soundtrack
Some incredible character moments
Ends maybe a little too soon

Challenging but not punishing, with some solid, engaging optional content.
There's a mountain of fan service and celebratory story beats that nails nostalgia while delivering something new.
Well-optimized with great visuals, incredible music, wrapped in a meaty 60
+ hour campaign.
Spectacular cinematic moments compliment great character work alongside a tried-and-tested storyline.
Some of the game's open world "Ubisoftification" collectible checklists (complete with climbing tower puzzles) represent some very tired gameplay design in 2025.
The UI animations are unnecessarily long and take control away from you too frequently.

Excellent combat framework made even better
Packed with compelling side content
Another masterclass Final Fantasy score
A joy to explore these recreated environments
A few technical woes

Explore an open world too inspired by the Ubisoft formula
The Performance and Graphics modes are not ideal.

Cinematics of stunning beauty, whether in terms of graphics or staging.
The soundtrack (composed of original pieces as well as reorchestrations of the original music) is simply masterful.
A significant number of side quests that enhance the adventure.
The casting remains fantastic, enriched with characters who are all equally charismatic.
A combat system that will require investment to be well mastered.
A world that aims to be open, but is not optimized enough and quickly shows its technical limitations (parkour, texture issues, display bugs, and slowdowns)

Good introduction of the casting
Repetitive tasks

funny and sad moments. An amazing journey.

Successful dramatic start with a reminder of the mission with Sephiroth.
Comfortable switch between three pre-established party configurations.
Pauseable action fights with new subtleties.
Many humorous scenes convey the charm of the team of heroes.
Secondary quests often involve a group member more and thus provide space for character development.
Beautifully staged patterns
Exciting premise thanks to one of the most famous deaths in the world of video games in the original.
On foot or riding a chocobo
Enough leeway for the adaptation of characters through codes and materials.
Some impressive and expensive cinematic scenes
Highly detailed environments, especially natural landscapes, are beautiful.
No bugs during the testing period
30 FPS smooth in quality mode
Good German synchronization (especially Dieter Memel as Barret) ...
Very good synchronization
Fun soundtrack with many tracks and surprising style changes.
Overloaded controller with new functions in the battle.
The story is more difficult to follow without knowledge of the original and Crisis Core.
Map not always useful for navigating in the open world (especially when it comes to altitudes)
The main story is pushed too far into the background in favor of a flat fan service.
Outdated design. Laborious activities in open areas.
A rhythm that is longingly stretched out, constantly inviting to stroll, before the main story resumes after the first flashback.
A minimum part of the game is prescribed for the action to continue.
Repetition of unnecessary slow-downs or endless sequences, especially during climbing or after completing activities.
Various textures are revealed up close to be remarkably muddy.
... in which the distribution is sometimes poorly chosen.
The voices are partially lost in the music during a standard mixing of cinematic scenes.
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.

Epic bosses and immersive cinematics
The deepening of character development is an undeniable asset.
A deep and complex combat system...
An uneven narrative pace, some tedious gameplay phases
Repetitive side quests, overload of mini-games
Some areas of the first disc of FF7 are strangely missing, while others are needlessly extended.

No random encounters
Big boss sprites that change as the battle goes on
Zelda-style puzzle solving
The definitive "baby's first RPG"
Unimpressive pixel art for 1992
Cheaply excecuted world map
