Xbox Tavern

The characters are great
The world is rich in detail
The level design is tight

Jumping just never works as expected
And after several hours as the platforming gets more punishing, it starts to grate
Then they introduce platforms that you can?t line up easily with to make things worse
And the game starts to drag, a bit like these bad parts joke I am writing up

Twinfinite

Stellar hand-painted art that brings a welcome vibrance to Nahucan.
Great animations that bring characters and backgrounds to life.
Mesoamerican inspiration and setting feel unique.

First few hours are slow and unexciting, which is rough for a short game.
Controls don’t feel as responsive as they should be, especially in the air.
Combat becomes more of a chore as you progress.
Many large, wide-open spaces that have little to offer in the way of interesting platforming.
