The game's atmosphere is done pretty well, the characters largely take the situation seriously, and the dialogue is well-written.
The vampire nests add a bit of replayability to each neighborhood, even after you finish everything.
The core gameplay is largely satisfying and honestly carries the game on its back.
The talent trees are straightforward and bland; there isn't much customization when it comes to how your character plays.
Enemy AI is awful at the moment; vampires go through walls while fighting the player, and human enemies aren't the brightest either.
The attempt at RPG loot done with the guns is unneeded; the player can use whatever they pick up and do just fine.

Good skills available for all player types
Fun gunplay and staking
Good range of different vampire types to fight
Great length of playtime plus NG
+ support
Fun boss encounters
Amazing soundtrack
Solo and Coop experience

Fun coop
Cool powers and weapons
Manageable open world
Solo play can be difficult
Lacks imagination and innovation

Fast and fun shooting game
The special skills of each character.
Graphic and performance issues
Game system too generic.
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.

Variety of vampire types to kill
Story is deeper than I thought
Difficulty with SP is unforgivable
No matchmaking in 2023
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.

Fun and interesting both solo and co-op
An open world with many possibilities for the future
Exploration as the spearhead of your mapping
Serious AI flaws
Unpolished animations
Crude oil controls

Each character has different mechanics, which encourages experimentation and enjoyment.
It can be completed without missing anything both in solo and multiplayer, making it the best option.
In terms of graphics and technical aspects, it leaves much to be desired.
Progression in the story only matters to the one hosting the game, which is a monumental mistake.

But it is clear that this was done to bring even more pleasure in cooperation.
The influence of Arkane is still perceptible.
The atmosphere can sometimes pleasantly remind one of "Stephen King".
Some side missions are typical fillers of an open world.
Thirty frames per second on console and the need to always be online have a very 2018 feel.
The usual bugs that modern launches seem to be associated with.

Fun game even in company.
Different approaches to follow a mission;
Located in the Italian language.
Not much variety in the monsters;
Technically fluctuating.
Spartan and restrictive frame.
There are very few Arkane.

Online cooperative, also crossplay.
He maintains decently...
per second
Frame rate locked at 30 frames per second.
"Heavy" and imprecise orders.

It does run really well for co-op players
The gunplay and combat is super tight
Any part of the game in the "psychic realm"
Some uninspired quest design
Plentiful bugs and glitches suggests bad optimisation

Mysterious and intriguing plot
In co-op gives the best
Repetitive open-world activities
Highly fluctuating fluidity

Very rich and frequent auxiliary game content
Less than optimal game engine response, with technical bugs, crashing and graphics issues
Challenging multiplayer mode with constant problems connecting to servers
[6.5/10] reviewed at 02/05/2023 - Redfall Recensione Xbox: anacronismo horror [read the full review on GamesVillage]

Intriguing atmosphere.
A failed hybrid between a cooperative shooting game and an immersive simulator.
Unjustifiable multiplayer structure.

Functional shooting game
Beautiful city
Original weapons
Limited loot
Weak artificial intelligence
A lot of bugs.
Balancing problem
Decrease in performance
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.

The universe
Repetitive
Too many bugs.
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.

Massive areas to explore and find stuff to do
The PC version isn?t locked to 30fps
Another looter shooter to sink my teeth into
Way too many glitches and bugs
Stuttering and fps drops
Single-player campaign is also a joke
No structure in co-op mode
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.

Interior locations can be interesting to explore
FPS combat is serviceable, with some cool weapon designs and satisfying vampire stake-take-downs
The overarching story has some great moments
While pretty, the open world too often feels lifeless
"RPG" layers are underbaked, with mountains of copy-pasted items, arbitrary "stats," and a currency system with nothing to buy
Design decisions to encourage multiplayer undermine the entire experience

Various vampire types help to keep things fresh.
Drop-in-drop-out format good for multiplayer.
Repetitive mission types.
Countless performance and technical issues.
Story feels a little lacking.

Weapons and gunplay.
Intelligent and accessible mechanics
The visual identity of the game
NPC AI
The lack of balance in movements.
Graphic defects and visual bugs

The soundtrack is catchy.
Killing a vampire is always a pleasure.
The very small open world.
The AI is completely out of whack.
After a few hours of playing, we are going around in circles.
Bugs and optimization issues.
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.

Enjoyable abilities.
Exploring is meaningful.
Some fun immersive sim mechanics.
Interesting premise.
Texture pop in.
Empty open-world zones.
Inconsistent enemy AI.
Overreliance on slide shows for narrative beats.

Conversations between characters in multiplayer mode.
Secondary missions are discovered organically in the world.
Playing extremely simple and repetitive.
The opponents ask for almost nothing and act very foolishly.
The world of gaming is incredibly empty.
Technically very defective.
The typical gameplay and level design of Arkane are completely absent.

Four very different characters.
Included in the Game Pass.
A successful atmosphere
An incredible Sound Design
Dubbed in French
A Beautiful Artistic Direction
A good lifespan
A great story
A scandalous input lag if the settings are not modified.
You always need to be connected.
Few habitable buildings to explore.
Ultra cheap comic book-style cut-scenes.
A laughable A.I.
Some low-cost textures
Pop decorations everywhere
Lots of bugs, some of which block your quests.
Sometimes NPCs are hideous.
Dead Island 2 has been released!
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.

Fun if played with company.
Too many technical problems.
Many game mechanics, all poorly optimized.

Appropriate graph.
Cool effects
Good background music.
Fun basic concept
Open World too small
A lot of extreme bugs.
Significant decrease in frame rate.
Insignificant story.
No variety
Very few side quests.
Extremely immature AI opponent.
Many of the integrated features are not convincing.

The design of certain main missions.
The open world is not interesting and the missions are simple.
The structure is repetitive despite its 12-hour duration.

Well-defined framework
Fully localized game for Brazilian Portuguese
Lack of variability in gameplay
Some animations and behaviors
The fight leaves much to be desired
The open world has little content.

Many ancillary activities... unfortunately not very interesting.
The open world
A level design that is generally quite good.
A minimalist narrative
Textures from another time, a lot of bugs.
A mediocre AI, no "pause" in single player mode.
No matchmaking.

When the game works, there's potential
Boring, bland, and generic
Incredibly buggy and, at times, downright broken
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.

Cool vampire and character designs
+
Interesting world
Limited story
-
Unincentivized co-op
-
Repetitive mission structures
-
Buggy
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.

Some fun optional activities, like vampire nests
Level of player choice is still enjoyable, despite being diluted
Some solid combat elements, like the abilities, weapons, and enemy variety.
The world lacks Arkane's unique visual aesthetic
Open world is largely uninteresting and rather formulaically designed
Rote mission design, progression mechanics, and loot system
Clunky and unresponsive aiming
Plenty of technical issues.

Some great visual design, especially wihen the game leans into the supernatural
Some superb moments of storytelling interwoven with gameplay
General gameplay loop is not engaging enough
The open world lacks in variety and substance
Way too many glitches and performance issues

Co-op has its moments
Plenty of loot
Maps have some interesting locations
Poor enemy AI
Technical issues throughout
Odd design choices

Sounds design and music
Shooting feels fine, with standard FPS mechanics offering fun co-op moments
Hero abilities are hit-and-miss, but some are great, like Devinder?s teleport thingy for getting around.
The comically large hands-on NPCs
Dull story with forgettable characters
Writing and dialogue that feels like an early version of ChatGPT taking a stab at discourse
The handful of special vampires all look and behave the same, even when given a name like ?The Bride?
Weapons are all slight variations on a theme, with ?legendary? loot being limited to a handful of guns you?ll see over and over
The open world is large and architecturally varied but isn?t used to create anything you?d consider dynamic or tactical, or surprising when it comes to combat
Enemy AI or lack thereof
Safe Houses feel pointless when they all offer the same side mission and vampire underboss battles
Redfall?s technical issues include everything from crashing to broken missions to inconsistent performance
Story and mission progress is only saved for the host, also it?s not drop-in, drop-out co-op
Marking a quest as active doesn?t actually add its marker to the compass
Annoyingly, you need to add a waypoint for each and every quest manually
Leveling is extremely slow, and you barely get enough Skill Points actually to mess around with different playstyles, even after the credits roll
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.

Effective gameplay
The co-op, if need be?
Just decent achievement.
Not really exciting campaign.
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.

Well-imagined vampire boss
Co-op for up to four players.
Restricted fluidity at 30 fps.
No recoil during shots.
Decent for short sessions
No content
Feels very bland

Great character art and design
Lots of lore
So many bugs it gets another entry
I still don't really know what's happening
Story progression only for the co-op host
Co-op is poorly executed on all levels

Some creative and fun weapons
Better with mates
Empty, unengaging world
Unbalanced and poor enemy AI
Grating writing and storytelling

Fun to be had in co-op.
Pop-in
Bad performance
stupid AI

Co-op play can be fun, though the friends aspect is doing a lot of the heavy lifting there
Despite some worries pre-launch, the 30FPS cap is actually perfectly fine
Some fun to be had with a few weapons and encounters...
Lacklustre loot system and menus
Lack of interesting things to see and do in the open world
Bugs and glitches galore

The different routes
The few flashes of brilliance.
An assumed and captivating atmosphere.
Four heroes for more variety.
Sensations of great softness.
Technically feverish and artistically uninspired.
A plethora of bugs.
A very meager variety
The impression of an unfinished game.
The unshared progression

Co-op is the game's saving grace
Easily Fooled Enemies
Assets Missing Occasionally
Always Online Requirement

partially original weapons
some successful levels sections (Adison-Villa, dollhouse level)
Cross-play between PC and Xbox is quite easy to set up.
Only 4K30 on Xbox Series X.
Many bugs, some serious, in all areas.
