Engaging characters
Beautiful locations
A little repetitive

Layered systems to play with with various meta games
Combat is visceral and deep, but super accessible
You'll get your money's worth with the game's length
A lot of characterisation baked into the game that you can choose to explore, or somewhat ignore
Cooking and fishing
Antiquated representations of archetypes and genders
Levels and worlds aren't overly expressive or deep in design
The JRPG setup might not be for all

Add at least 20 hours of history to the original game.

The final act is spectacular and captivating.
There is no novelty in the gameplay and combat system.
Too little and too late at a questionable cost.

The quality of Tales of Arise remains intact.
Many dialogues and other stories that enrich the characters.
The side missions will keep you busy.
There are no new playable characters.
At times, the pace of the story becomes slow.
There are main missions that seem to be fillers and become boring.

The audio is loud and energetic.
Responsive controls.
Great value for money.
The developer ignored the political landscape.

A thrilling and evocative story
No new regions
No new artes
Steep price tag

Environments that we enjoy revisiting.
Companions that one is happy to see again.
A top-notch soundtrack.
No real novelty
We force ourselves to be honest because yes, we are always happy to have Tales in our hands but... not under these conditions and especially at such a shamefully high price!

Possibility to explore the world after the canonical ending
Banal and predictable narration.
Repetitive and unsatisfying side missions.
