Fights are epic in nature, with some excellently paced difficulty throughout
Lots of depth to the systems to learn, but not all of it is essential to just have a good time smacking monsters about
Certain story scenes drag on a bit

The best combat in the series
+
Diverse roster of new and old monsters
+
Controllable RNG for crafting the perfect build
UI and UX annoyances add up
-
Revised skill system is hit and miss
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.

The incredible design of the monsters
Gameplay that continues to evolve.
It is better to play it in cooperation.
Some minor visual gaps

but articulated to make it more flexible. Less monster farming and more shared experience.

Refinements to gameplay work well
Great lineup of monsters
Changes to eating meals

Seikrets change the game
Launching hunts has never been easier
Focus mode is top tier
Somehow, AI hunters are useful
It sure is pretty
Pop-up Camps can be great
Trying to play the campaign co-op
Pop-up Camps can also be a pain

The presentation of the story is very high quality with some great moments.
Weapons feel fun to use, featuring additional moves and layers of depth to master.
Tons of end game content to enjoy, featuring a whole host of new mechanics and challenging monsters to hunt.
Unintuitive and difficult to play through the story mode with other players.

Impressive monster variety
Brilliantly dynamic locales
Typically outstanding gameplay loop
Kickass cinematics
Streamlined co-op features
Incredible art direction
Clunky, convoluted menus remain
Dodgy performance on PS5
Loads of low quality textures

Smooth and Theatrical Animations ? Monster and weapon animations are highly detailed, making every hunt feel immersive.
The roster ? A great roster of monsters, fan favourites and great additions.
Extensive Endgame Content ? Plenty of inceptives to carry on playing long after the story is over.
Lower Difficulty ? The wound system and knockdown mechanics make hunts easier.

Better overall, more precise management.
All important accessibility options are available.
The Palico companion provides very effective support.
Entertaining story, often staged in a high-quality manner.
Many humorous elements
A varied and fully customizable arsenal of weapons (14 categories)
Motivating upgrade system allowing targeted improvements.
Based on current impressions, a motivating endgame in the long term
An excellent combat system rich in facets with new cool focusing features.
Solo players can also call offline AI hunters to help them.
The Saikrii-Reittier significantly improves comfort and game speed.
Strong monster design
A vast and diverse open world
The regions change a lot visually (comparable to the seasons).
Beautiful animations and impressive effects
Multilingual including a good full localization in German.
Appropriate soundtrack
Superb vibrant sound effects
Individual cut scenes / overly long almost self-executing sequence
Does not work smoothly in quality mode on PS5 Pro.

... you willingly explore complex and vibrant worlds.
... if you are fans of looting, crafting, and constant optimization.
... you do not want to do tasks multiple times.
... crafting and loot are not enough as the main motivation for you.

New gameplay well implemented
The new monsters are brutal.
Character design and well-executed storytelling
Gigantic and well-defined mapping
Superb dubbing in Spanish
The endgame is very addictive.
A performance failure
The camera is sometimes chaotic.

Maps have never been so elaborate, interesting, and navigable thanks to Seikret.
Refined gameplay
Fully localized in Italian, including dubbing.
Not perfect optimization

Focus Mode and wounds systems makes combat more spectacular and engaging than ever
Seikret is a fantastic addition to Monster Hunter's gameplay and mobility
Weather effects added an enjoyable degree of variety to quests
Lack of additional quest types outside of regular hunts felt a bit disappointing

A list of enviable monsters.
Playing online is very fun.
There is still a lot of content to add.

Very friendly to newcomers
Has best features from World/Rise, including mounts
Highly dynamic
Interesting system of conditionally open world
Story
Monster diversity is lacking
No exploration/monster search systems that were present in previous games
Monsters are more fragile than in previous parts
Technical state and optimization

Monster designs
Weapon and armor designs
Seamless map
The story is better than previous games
Frame-rate issues are still a problem

The injury system makes the damage we inflict clearer and more tangible.
The precise mode makes the gameplay more comfortable.
Excellent design of the new monsters
The biomes and scenarios feel alive.
In the absence of future extensions, there is a lack of content.

Accessibility and refined gameplay
Robust post-game
Impeccable location for Brazilian Portuguese.
Living world and impressive graphics
Specific rendering issues
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.

Beautiful, massive world that's also dynamic
Excellent combat - arguably the series' best
Game's interface can still be overwhelming

It makes a lot of things easier for you.
Can you bring two weapons?
There will be several free updates.
The settings need to be adjusted so that it is clearly visible.
The photo mode is strange.
The armor/skills system has changed for the worse.

Highly advanced gameplay.
Renewed gaming world
Quality artistic direction
Some doubts about the actual balance
Tangible lack of certain comforts

Iconic monsters
Animations and gameplay
Beautiful and captivating story mode
Walls of text instead of tutorials
End of the game a little thin in content
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.

The addition of secondary weapons and Seikrats make a major difference
Focus Mode creates a new combat experience
The game is easy in the beginning, but it gets progressively harder

The AI of the monsters is well calibrated.
The new features of the weapons combine insect tracking skills and hunting styles in combos.
Playing offline is a nightmare without synchronization.
We could have done something more on the dialogues.

A vast world with a dynamically changing climate that significantly affects gameplay.
A wide variety of beautifully designed monsters and hundreds of hours of content.
Infinite improvements in quality of life at every level.
Lack of substantial challenge in the final game.
Something of what made Monster Hunter so special has been lost in the effort to reach a wider audience.

A story that truly is enough to keep you intersted
Gorgeous graphics and wonderful diversity in ecosystems and areas
Another incredible Monster Hunter experience
No major wow moment that leaves you feeling like we're seeing something grand for the series

So many new extremely useful mechanics
Well-structured end of the game...
Spectacular artistic sharing
Monsters too easy to defeat
...but still too thin
Technical department quite deficient

The ever-shifting landscape present encounters that are both unexpected and thrilling.
Monsters that are one-of-a-kind and well-designed make combat more immersive.
There is a lack of variation, and the difficulty begins to climb after the main story.
Those who have been following the series for a long time could overlook its more substantial depth.
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.

Stunning graphics and immersive weather.
Improved accessibility for new players.
Endgame rich with Alpha monsters and advanced crafting.
Variety of weapons and armor offering different strategies
Simplification of the gameplay that can frustrate veterans.
Luck factor too present in the improvement of weapons.
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.

Familiar fun Monster Hunter gameplay
Spectacular sound with epic set pieces
Fantastic new monster designs, with many returning fan favorites
Continuous "open world" isn't utilized very well
NPC villages are dull compared to Astera from World, or even Kamura from Rise
Endgame is quite light on content

Combat is the best it's ever been, with wounds and Focus Mode augmenting its core tenets
Numerous quality-of-life improvements lead to a more comfortable experience without taking away from the main gameplay loop
Intriguing storyline and character development
Solid performance overall
Decoration changes and new weapon options help refresh the build-crafting
Lack of challenge throughout
The endgame feels sparse compared to previous entries
Story missions can feel a bit routine with the constant slow cantering
Dialogue choices feel unnecessary
A fresh slate, waiting for Capcom to build on it with more challenging content, may not be to everyone's taste
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.

Fun and emergent moments will keep you engaged
Great quality-of-life additions
Biomes and monsters are gorgeous
Story is average
Some unstable online servers

AMD FSR 3 and image generation, a real performance boost
Pleasant portable experience for such a monstrous game
720p and minimum graphics = a smooth game, but it looks ugly

A varied, spectacular and impressive bestiary
Challenging, strategic and enjoyable clashes.
The Seikret mount system that renews the dynamics of hunts
The depth of crafting and equipment
An underexploited exploration, too often automated.
A grind philosophy that can become exhausting over time
Fights that can discourage newcomers

Great weapon and build diversity
Multiplayer offers different ways to play
Crafting and gathering can be a grind
Unskippable Seikret rides even in multiplayer

A generous variance in different monsters
Great visuals and soundtrack
Can be challenging to engage with as a solo player
Could be a bit too easy for Monster Hunter experts

Excellent monsters and wildlife to hunt
Familiar weapons are still fun
Good character design
Same weapons from Worlds
Dull story and slow pacing
Clunky UI and controls remain
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.

Occasionally Stunning
Fantastic Music
Smartly Streamlined in some areas
Lacks the hunting heart of previous titles
No reason to grind gear
¼ the length of worlds despite more content
Some bafflingly low-quality textures

The Seikret makes travel much more enjoyable.
Plural and changing environments (thanks to the weather)
The basics of gameplay are still there.
The bestiary, majestic (see box)
The focus mode has many advantages...
The world seems alive, and the environment can directly intervene in confrontations.
The concept of changing weapons on the fly
The map, quite difficult to read depending on the areas
Some minor performance issues on PS5 (especially in the scarlet forest)
... but the focus mode also completely disrupts the usual pace of hunts
All of this turns out to be much easier (which can be a plus depending on your experience with the series)
