Gritty Pulse-Pumping Soundtrack

The focus mechanic is wonderful.
So much blood.
A hardcore soundtrack to match the gameplay difficulty.
Excellent controls.
So addictive.
A simple but brilliant concept.
You can use your Steam Deck to play it.
A Game of the Year contender.
No competitive online edge.

A dreamlike atmosphere capable of offering the best of the best, reinforced by a judiciously implemented gameplay
Great soundtrack
Lots of goodies inside
It can be difficult for someone

Successful soundtrack
Fun and stimulating
A bit repetitive in the long run.

Really pretty pixel art
Interesting gameplay mechanics

Fantastic power ups
The Focus power is so good
Being able to choose the guns in a run is interesting
Some camera issues

Nerveux à souhait
La phase de concentration pour esquiver
Des boss sympathiques
Une direction artistique sublime
Une bande-son dynamique qui correspond parfaitement
Un jeu qui devient répétitif à terme
Plus cher que sur PC
Une histoire anecdotique

Action is intense and engaging
Difficulty spikes are frustrating

Intriguing lore
Nails that "just one more try" feeling
Feels bare-bones
Boss fights are lackluster
No "Pros & Cons" find for this reviewer.

Bloody visuals are gross, but very effective
Some neat upgrades and abilities
Bullet time adds a nice twist
Good, stable performance
Room layouts are often too similar to one another

Fast and adrenaline pumping twin-stick action with the satisfaction of kicking a door open to smash a boy in the face
The pulse-pounding music will motivate players to keep on going in the face of failure
Smart use of rogue-like elements to keep the action feeling fresh and exciting with every attempt
Challenging boss battles with multiple phases
Respawning should be faster
Character portraits look cheap and lazy
The upgrades don't feel like much of an upgrade

Kickass soundtrack (now on streaming services)
Quick response run and gun mechanics
Slick pixel art that was both pretty and gory
Since you get a free upgrade at the start of a run, there isn?t a quick restart possible

Weapons are varied and satisfying to use
The time-slowing mechanic produces some awesome moments?
The roguelike elements just don?t quite fit
The art style falls a bit flat
Wide variety of guns and weapons
Great style, when it's not moving a bullet speeds
Action feels far too chaotic at times
Can be quite difficult to see what's going on
Not enough "end of run" rewards or bonuses
