The risk vs. reward gameplay is tightly designed and gives Dying Light 2 a unique hook
The combat systems are exquisite, with mountains of bespoke weapons
The verticality of the open world is impressive, with many, many interior locations to explore
The game's performance on the Xbox Series X is a bit disappointing, particularly in 4K mode
Despite the density of the open world, I started to find some of the game's activities repetitive quite early on

Co-op
Most side quests offer little rewards
Game mechanics get in the way of the exploration
Takes a long time for the story to get good,

60 FPS on PS5 is wonderfully fluid.
Fun, brutal combat has been made even better.
Traversal is great when it works (and when movement upgrades are eventually unlocked).
Encourages nighttime play and rewards the brave.
Up to four players can enjoy co-op together...
Many bugs still need squashing.
An ultimately weak story with largely poor dialogue.
"Good" faction is boring and cliche.
Cool stuff is withheld for too long.
Lootable bodies that have nothing on them?!
